Hi, I’m Lisa Roth.

I was born in Edmonton Alberta in 1962, the second oldest of 5 girls.  Nope, no brothers!

I’ve worked hard my whole life.  My family had a tree farm, just outside of Edmonton by a town called Calmar.  It was my dad’s childhood home.  When his parents passed it was left to him.  Being that is was only 80 acres, my Mum suggested he plant trees.  Well, we planted trees, and lots of them.  My sisters and I learned to work at a very young age.  It was something kids learned to do in the 60’s and before.  For most of the summer, when it wasn’t raining, we worked at the farm, either planting trees or weeding around them to keep them alive.  The trees grew and were soon big enough to use in landscape jobs, so a landscape company was formed and I learned how to landscape from the rough ground to a finished, sodded, tree planted, work of art.  We actually mostly did gas stations and seniors complexes if I remember correctly. It was lots of work and I think it’s what made me strong, both physically and mentally.

In 1980 I met H. John Roth…He was fun and funny and not afraid to put in a day’s work for my dad.  He was my date to my high school graduation and in 1982 we got married.

In 1984 we had our first child, Vincent, Katherine came along a planned 2 years later in 1986 and then in 1987, surprise, along came Daniel.  Our family was complete.

We moved to Red Deer in 1987 just 28 days before Daniel was born because John had been transferred by the NDT Company he worked for at the time.

Not loving the company he worked for and with some strategic planning we started Roth Radiography in 1988.  I wasn’t afraid of the idea, after all I had been raised by entrepreneurs.  All I had to do was learn how to do the books…so I did.  We had such a successful company and the people that worked for us loved it.  It was very family oriented and our employees were a priority.  We sold it in 1999, huge mistake, and a different story.  John went to work as a consultant and I finally got to be a stay at home Mum.  All I ever wanted to do really.  But by that time the kids were all nearly grown, we’d moved off of our acreage and into the city.  I did volunteer work and worked in a jewelry store, having always loved jewelry. It was a fun job.  We got to build our dream home and then downsized to a smaller dream home, which is where I live today.
Alone.

John passed away in 2016 from cancer.  Another long story.

I had to reinvent myself to try to stay sane, find out who I really am, aside from being someone’s Wife or Mother.  I wanted something to do, just for me.  So I started looking at courses for things that have always interested me, and that I’ve been good at.  I did a home staging and organizing course and now I’m certified to do that but didn’t pursue it very vigorously.  Following that I became very interested in Health and Life coaching.  Feeling like there is such a huge need for it, I enrolled with HCI to get my certification.  I completed that in the fall of 2020 and as it turns out I love it.  I love people, and I love helping them get to where they want to be in their life.  Whether it’s losing weight in lbs or weight in other heavy areas of their life, I love to help with the knowledge I have and the knowledge I continually gain.

I am loving being a lifelong learner and a health and life coach.

I am in a good place in my life and I want, so much, to help others get there too. I feel with my life experiences and lots of challenges, I have a wealth of information to share.
