I have just recently completed the Inner Engineering Course by Sadhguru, on line. It was amazing and I am so happy I spent the $$ to do it. I highly recommend just listening to Sadhguru on line. He is on so many U Tube channels and being interviewed by “influencer’s” everywhere. This is yet another thing I have done to be better at self regulation. By self regulation I mean, to remain calm, be happier more often and suffer less in this life, when it is meant to be enjoyed and savoured.
I have read so many books and watched so many U Tube videos on the subjects of habit change, meditation, living like a monk, neuroplasticity, trauma, and the list goes on and on. They all come down to one thing and that is to JUST DO IT…whatever that IT is for you, do that, and remain calm.
I want to coach! Finding the clients is the tricky bits. I am not on social media in that capacity and I don’t want to be selling myself all over the place. I really want to help people get to a state of Happiness and Joy. It is in each and everyone of us and we were born with it, only to lose it along the way. That’s sad really. When we’re children we laugh often and dance and play and somewhere around 7 or 8 we get serious. In some cultures I think it’s a little later and kids get to be kids longer.
In our culture in north america we are all chasing the dream, whatever that dream may be for each individual. The sad thing is, when we get there, we’re still not happy and think it will be something else that fills that everlasting void. My goal is to be happy and joyful every single day. Finding the little things that make me smile. I know this isn’t necessarily an easy task, especially when it feels like everything is falling apart. The news spews depressing stuff a few times a day and waits for the next worst thing to take over the headlines from the last worst thing. The economy is in the toilet and families are struggling to make ends meet, feed their family’s, stay warm and sheltered. It is pretty shitty out there, and then in here (as I point to my heart), when it’s what we focus on. I want to do something to help but I know it starts with me and where I am in my own well being. The oxygen mask theory is at play every day. Soooo, what I am getting at is that we all have to look after ourselves first. Find the little things that bring us joy.
A few things that always help me are; Getting my sleep, writing down some positive goals, journal whatever you want, dreams, complaints, letters that you’ll never send, gratitude. Gratitude is really a positive thing and really brings about more good things. Go for a walk in nature and breathe deeply and listen for the sounds of nature and feel the breeze on your face. Sitting in silent meditation is also a great tool. If you’ve never tried it before download an app., there are several to choose from. Food is a huge factor too. What are you eating and how often. Booze isn’t really your friend, although it can be fun sometimes. It actually puts us on a loop of feel like squashing something, squashing it (temporarily) with drinks, usually too many, hangover & depression and start all over again. Getting conscious about that and all the things can lead to so much more happiness and joy in our lives.
In my personal journey to be more at ease in my life I have discovered so many great authors and UTube pod casts I came across the most interesting and wise man. Sadghuru. I couldn’t recommend a listen to this man more. He’s wise and funny and I find his voice so easy to listen to. As I said at the start of this post, I just recently completed the 7 steps. Now I have to stay committed and complete 40 days of a yoga kriya twice a day and then for 60 days and it will be a new habit. There is a science behind it and I’m willing to give it a go. It won’t work if I don’t do it, so I’ve committed. That’s what it takes to make any kind of positive change and I am someone that wants to lead by example and know what I’m talking about when I coach others in habit change.
The only way out in this life is to die and I’m not planning to do that anytime soon. Life is meant to be beautiful and blissful..I believe it is in each and everyone of us, and it’s our birthright. I want to help people be more joyful and blissed out…From The InsideOut
